State Titles

Celina High School is best known for its dominating football program – it has eight state championships, tied with Southlake Carroll for the most in Texas. The 1974 title was in Class B (now Class A) and was a co-championship with Big Sandy High School (one of the all-time dominant teams) while the 2007 title was in Class AAA; the other six titles were in Class AA. In total, the Celina Bobcats have won 17 state titles across 5 sports:

Band

The Celina High School Band particularly excels at concert band. It has received eleven consecutive sweepstakes awards and recently won a double state championship in the Outstanding Performance Series (OPS), but it has also obtained many other awards in both concert and marching band, including a trip to the UIL State marching competition in 2005.

Choir

The Celina Choir department has won numerous competitions. The choir program had a wonderful teacher named Mrs. Fineout for about 4 years until she moved. The current choir teacher is Ms. Littrell. In 2010, the choirs had a concert called "The Benny Awards" which is like The Grammys. This event will continue year after year.
